Born on April 30, 1946, in Salem NJ, Vincent relocated to Delaware at an early age. He graduated from Salesianum School and later obtained a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1968. Following graduation, he was immediately drafted into the US Army and spent two years in service, with one of those years stationed in Korea. Upon discharge in 1970, he assumed management roles alongside his cousin in their family businesses, Greggo & Ferrara and Parkway Gravel, Inc., which operated as a highway construction firm and a material company.

Parkway Gravel owned a number of empty acreages resulting from its business operations. Vincent and his partner were approached to construct a Goodyear store for lease on one of these parcels, which eventually led to the development of Churchamns Center, an office and industrial park. Finding the real estate industry both exciting and profitable, they continued to develop land they owned and eventually acquired additional land for development purposes, along with existing income properties. Presently, they own approximately 2,000,000 SF of office, retail, and industrial space, primarily consisting of warehousing ranging from 10,000 SF to 110,000 SF.

In 1993, Vincent married Joy, a widow with three children: Peter, Patti, and Kim. Subsequently, they welcomed Eugene (ND ’17) into their family. They currently have nine grandchildren, with the oldest, Jack Shanhan, who hopes to attend the University of Notre Dame.
