Tom is President, Chief Investment Officer, and Partner of Kitson & Partners. Tom has over 27 years of experience in the real estate industry, which includes a broad understanding of the capital markets. Tom helps set the strategic direction for K&P and is responsible for the financial division of the company. Tom spends the majority of his time focusing on growth initiatives for K&P, both through investment and capital sourcing. In addition, Tom is responsible for K&P’s 1.5M square foot retail shopping center portfolio and its commercial development pipeline of approximately 800,000 square feet. Tom played a key role in procuring and structuring K&P’s entity-level investment with Evergreen and was also instrumental in structuring and executing the purchase of the Babcock Florida Company.

Prior to joining the K&P team in 2003, Tom spent eight years in New York City as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, where he served as Vice President of U.S. Acquisitions for the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (MSREF). During his career on Wall Street, Tom worked on both the agency and principal side of the real estate business. While working for MSREF, Tom spearheaded the formation of Morgan Stanley’s joint venture with Kitson & Partners.

Tom graduated cum laude from University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He is a board member of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County and is also an active member in the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
