University of Notre Dame undergraduate student Lenny Den has been named a 2020 Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) Scholarship Program recipient. Den, who double majors in finance and applied computational mathematics and statistics with a minor in real estate, is one of just 10 recipients from around the world for this year’s program.
“I was excited to receive a PREA 2020 scholarship and grateful to the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate for supporting my application to the program,” said Den. “I’ve had an interest in both the qualitative and quantitative sides of real estate for such a long time, and I’m glad that I’ve been able to pursue that interest and passion at Notre Dame and will be able to continue to do so.”
When applying for the scholarship, Den explained his interest in real estate stems from his childhood, when he worked on rehabilitation projects with his father and realized that it appealed to his creative thinking skills. Den was a 2020 summer analyst for M3 Capital Partners in Chicago and he participated in the 2019 Student International Business Council (SIBC) project with LaSalle Investment Management. Den is also currently a member of the Notre Dame Real Estate Club.
“We are proud of what Lenny has achieved and of him being selected for the PREA Scholarship. He has been a great addition to Notre Dame’s new Minor in Real Estate and we look forward to what he will achieve with his real estate career,” said Eugenio Acosta, program director and director of undergraduate studies for the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate.
PREA is a non-profit association founded in 1979 for the global institutional real estate investment industry, representing over 700 firms across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia. Since 1994, PREA has awarded scholarships to promising students studying real estate at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
