Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate hosts inaugural fall gathering

On Friday, October 11, 2019, those interested in learning about global real estate and the new Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate are invited to attend the Fitzgerald Institute’s inaugural fall gathering. Held in Corbett Family Hall, the event will feature presentations from alumni, faculty, and friends in real estate.

“For this exciting occasion, we are bringing together distinguished alumni, faculty experts, and titans of the real estate industry, including Roy March, chief executive officer (CEO) of Eastdil Secured, and Carlos Betancourt CEO, Bresco Investments,” said Daniel B. Kelly, faculty director of the Institute and professor of law. “This event is an opportunity to encourage discussions of market issues with leaders from industry and academia, highlight the Institute’s education and research offerings, and make connections with our strong alumni base in real estate.”

The speakers giving featured presentations are:

  • Carlos Betancourt, CEO of Bresco Investments.
  • Mike Cook (’95), investment director from the University’s Investment Office.
  • Tracy Kijewski-Correa (’97, ’00, and ‘03), Leo E and Patti Ruth Linbeck Collegiate Chair Collegiate Chair and Associate Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering & Earth Sciences as well as concurrent associate professor in the Keough School of Global Affairs.
  • Roy March, CEO of Eastdil Secured.
  • Chris Vallace (’92), principal at M3 Capital Partners.

This is the inaugural event for the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate, which fosters rigorous, data-driven, and interdisciplinary research, and offers an undergraduate minor in real estate with over 100 students currently enrolled. The gathering will begin with presentations from 1:45 to 3:15 p.m. at the Downes Club on the seventh floor of Corbett Family Hall.
