All students - both grad and undergrad-, faculty, and staff are invited to join the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate (FIRE) for a day of service in our local community. St Casimir's parish- made famous by being featured in the legendary Notre Dame movie "Rudy", is a historic parish in the city.

Founded in 1898 by Polish immigrants, St Cas has been a staple in the west side community for generations of South Benders and now serves a vibrant Latino community today. Given the beautiful and sophisticated design, the St. Casimir church building was given the highest historical architectural ranking by the Historic Preservation Commission that possibly can be assigned - 13 of 13.

Our service day will kick off with a tour of this architecturally unique parish followed by some light work to help clean it up: painting, landscaping, etc. Following the service component, we will enjoy an early dinner before returning to campus.
