In addition to the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate's educational programs, such as the undergraduate Minor in Real Estate, students can engage with alumni, faculty, and industry professionals to advance their career goals.
The Institute supports a variety of on-campus and off-campus recruiting events, including a broad range of undergraduate and graduate Career Development services, that can lead to successful summer internships and full-time career opportunities.
Student teams compete against other universities in industry-based competitions and case studies. The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation annual Real Estate Challenge focuses on a high-profile development and redevelopment project in the Chicago area. Students compete to create a development plan that maximizes the potential of a selected property from both a quantitative (financial) and qualitative (feasibility) standpoint.
Real Estate Club
The Real Estate Club is comprised of an interdisciplinary group of students from multiple colleges and schools, including the Mendoza College of Business, College of Engineering, College of Arts and Letters, and School of Architecture. Students coordinate career development activities, compete in case studies and competitions, and manage industry events such as the annual Real Estate Roundtable.
The Mendoza College of Business MBA Fighting Irish Real Estate Club is dedicated to furthering real estate's presence and promoting its students and alumni. The Club provides MBA students with opportunities to learn about the global real estate industry, interact with prospective employers, obtain industry training, and network with peers, faculty, and real estate professionals.
Students can connect with the Institute to learn more about career opportunities and to join the Real Estate Club:
